Study: PVL and ETD-positive ST2233-methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus causing recurrent skin infections and intra-familial transmission
show Abstracthide Abstract
We experienced a pediatric case of recurrent skin infection caused by Panton-Valentine Leukocidin (PVL) and exfoliative toxin D (ETD)-positive methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus ST2233 clone. The majority of the family members infected same strain, and intra-familial transmission was strongly suspected.
Sample: Staphylococcus aureus JH62F
